Camp-out

What a fun night we had last night. We spent the afternoon attending two sacrament meetings-one was our own in Cranberry Farms 1st ward. There were some awesome speakers, including 2 sister missionaries, and the program was all about missionary work. Dad and I were super excited to re-dedicate ourselves to missionary work and you have all been excited to include opportunities for missionary work in our family prayers and your personal prayers.

The second sacrament meeting was in Eagle Mountain to attend the baby blessing of Dad's missionary companion, Elder Redpath's, baby girl. We ended up spending about 5 hours at their home afterwards to eat and chat and then got home to await Grandpa's arrival. He is moving here for a year to try and revive some restaurants in Odgen. We're hoping it all works out and Grandma and Rissa and Mickey can move here in a year! It will be so fun to have Grandpa around more for the next year though.

While we waited for Grandpa to arrive, we practice soccer in the backyard. Knight and Princess are playing together this year in a soccer league and your coach has already given some "homework" skills to practice. We think this will be a fun opportunity for you guys! We sure love our backyard...it is a great place to be together as a family. While we were out back laying in the grass, we came up with the idea to campout in our new tent to help usher in the new school year, which begins on Tuesday. We set up the tent just as it was getting dark and Grandpa showed up in time to help finish getting it up. The Duke lasted for about 30 minutes, but was trying to keep everyone up, so we brought him back inside to his bed. He ended up waking up around 3:30am and remembered we were outside and came to the door crying, so he ended up getting to sleep in the tent with us after all. It was a fun night listening to our favorite lullubies from Baby Mine and watching the stars.

We have sure been very blessed by a kind and generous Heavenly Father. Dad and I know that by paying a generous fast offering and by being full tithe-payers, we always have the means to provide. We know that we are being watched over. We are so grateful for our testimonies and are excited to see your testimonies grow. As you strive to always remain steadfast and follow the Spirit in your lives, you will find such joy and peace.

We love you. Forever!
